We’ve all been there: that frustrated place where you just don’t want to go. To. The. GYM. It can be tough to break through those slumps, but it’s not impossible. These three tips may help get you off the couch and back into your workout groove:

1.) Community, community, community. The thing that sets Ypsi Studio apart from every other gym out there is its network of people that actually care about you and your health. So buddy up, find a friend, talk to someone, and work the gym’s best asset: other people. A community of caring people will help you be accountable to your goals, and will make exercising more enjoyable because you won’t feel like you’re going at it alone.

2.) Shake it up. Try something new. It’s easy to get into a slump if you’re doing the same workouts time and time again. Ypsi Studio has a wealth of classes to offer — from willPower & grace to indoor cycling to bootcamp to yoga — so if you’re feeling burned out, expand your exercise horizons. Your next most favorite workout might be out there, just waiting for you to discover it.

3.) Reward yourself. If you’ve made it to the gym and challenged yourself, remember to applaud your own successes. Give yourself time to relax or do something you really enjoy. Or tell yourself that if you go to the gym for a month consistently, you’ll let yourself buy that pair of shoes you’ve been lusting after. Just remember, celebrate the milestones you do reach, instead of always looking at how far you still have to go.
