Ypsi Studio offers a wide variety of group exercise classes – here is something for everyone. Visit Mind Body Online to reserve your spot. For safe and effective exercise every time you come to Ypsi Studio, and to get the maximum benefit from every class, please arrive on time to our group exercise classes.

julia on bikeIndoor Cycling If you haven’t tried indoor cycling before, now is the time! Indoor cycling is a fantastic cardiovascular workout where the instructor and the music guide the group through varying terrains on a Schwinn AC with a console. Schwinn describes indoor cycling as the perfect combination of simple, athletic exercise plus an environment that enables participants to make a connection between the body and mind. Intro to Cycling classes also offered periodically. Classes limited to 13 participants.

willPower & grace® No equipment necessary for this class – that includes shoes! willpower & grace is a high-energy cardiovascular class combining dance principles, calisthenic drills, and yogic postures. This class integrates barefoot training methods to help strengthen your feet and correct imbalances in your ankles, knees, and hips. Over time willPower & grace will help you stand taller, walk with greater confidence, and function with the new strength that you have learned to harness. willPower Ignite®, a 45-minute High Intensity Interval Training class, is also offered.

 

matsYoga and Pilates Ypsi Studio offers a variety of Yoga classes, as well as Pop Pilates. There are yoga classes for all skill levels – Gentle Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga, Core Vinyasa Yoga, Slow Flow Vinyasa, Yoga Fusion, Buti Yoga, and others. No matter what the variety of Yoga you choose, come ready to challenge your mind and your body as you build body awareness, flexibility, core and overall strength. These classes vary according to participant skill, but there is always a focus on functional movement in daily life.

 

weight rack 2Strength Training If you are looking to build muscle strength in your arms, back, shoulders, and legs, Ypsi Studio has many options. Ypsi Studio offers a variety of 30- and 45-minute body toning classes which focus on specific body parts – look for  TRX, Foundational Strength Training, and more.

Zumba returned to Ypsi Studio this summer because YOU asked for it. We’re so glad! Zumba is an exhilarating, effective, easy-to-follow, Latin-inspired, calorie-burning dance fitness-party.

Running QuestionCan running be a group exercise? Answer – Yes! We run 3.1 miles on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 5:30am (weather permitting) and longer runs on Sunday mornings. The pace(s) of the run vary depending on the group.  If you are interested in training with a buddy, doing speed work, or running a race, you can find other interested runners through the Ypsi Studio Runners Group on Facebook.
